Mark Lee (Korean name: Lee Min-hyung; in Hangul: 이민형) referred to as MARK (Hangul: 마크) is a Korean-Canadian rapper, singer, dancer, and songwriter born in Toronto, Ontario on August 2, 1999. He is the main rapper, main dancer, and the sub-vocalist of NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and SuperM.

History on NCT

• April 9, 2016: Made his debut on the sub-unit NCT U with the first digital single, "The 7th Sense".
• July 10, 2016: Made his debut on the sub-unit NCT 127 with the first mini-album, NCT #127.
• August 24, 2016: Made his debut on the sub-unit NCT DREAM with the first digital single, "Chewing Gum".
• March 14, 2018: Participated on the project unit NCT 2018 with the first full album, NCT 2018 EMPATHY.

Pre Debut

Training and childhood

• MARK was a trainee for 4 years.
  • He was accepted to SM Entertainment through the 2012 Vancouver SM Global Audition, Canada.
  • In 8th grade, MARK first auditioned in SM's Global Audition. In 9th grade, SM then asked him to come to Korea to train.
  • MARK, along with JISUNG and Hansol, was introduced as an SMROOKIES member on December 17, 2013.
  • MARK joined in 2012 and debuted in 2016.
• He was announced as a NCT member in April 2016.
• MARK moved many times as a child. He was born in Toronto, but then moved to Vancouver, New York, Vancouver again and finally settled in Seoul as a trainee at the age of 13.
• When he was younger, his dream job was to become a writer or an ice-cream man.

Casting story

• Auditioned because of his curiosity and his school was on break on the day of the auditions. He originally followed his brother but they both got until the final stage until the audition staff told MARK’s brother did not have much passion and so he is the one who passed. His parents were musicians and Christians so he learned how to play the guitar and piano. His mother asked if he wants to spend his time studying or dancing and so he auditioned as a vocalist and later became interested in rap so he debuted as one of the main rappers of NCT.
• As the audition was on a weekday, MARK originally was not planning to go as he was dedicated to school. However, on the day of the auditions, his teachers went on strike and so MARK decided to audition as his brother was already going to as well.

When MARK was younger he believed that there was a monster in his stomach, so every time his stomach growled, he had to feed the monster.
