NCT DREAM (SM Entertainment) is releasing its third regular album, ‘ISTJ,’ on July 17th.
NCT DREAM's third regular album, "ISTJ," features ten songs that showcase the band's growth and maturity in music. The album includes their latest single, also titled "ISTJ."
A new regular album is set to release after a year and two months since the release of 'Beatbox,' which was a repackaged version of their second regular album that came out in May 2022. The upcoming album is expected to showcase more powerful synergy between NCT DREAM's members and create a sensation in the pop music world.
Last year, NCT DREAM achieved a remarkable feat by selling over 5.61 million copies of their new albums - 'Glitch Mode' (their second regular album), 'Beatbox' (the repackaged version), and 'Candy' (the special winter album). They also gained immense popularity and influence through their second world tour, which involved 41 concerts in 26 cities across the globe. People are excited to see what the band has in store for the future after such impressive accomplishments.
Single ‘ISTJ’ - NCT DREAM’s way of understanding others!
A hybrid hip-hop dance song, showing new energy!
The single, ‘ISTJ,’ is a hybrid hip-hop dance song unraveling the story of two people with exactly opposite personalities. It tells the story of ENFPs who are full of confidence that they have their way of understanding others who are ISTJs instead of the typical framework of MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator).
‘Broken Melodies’ features lyrics that say they will do everything to protect love while overcoming various feelings felt when they are far away from their lovers, and ‘Yogurt Shake’ describes how we fail to be ourselves when we are with whom we like by comparing it to ‘Yogurt Shake.’
This album also includes various songs that fit the summer mood, such as ‘Skateboard,’ which is a west coast hip-hop song showing the energetic image of NCT DREAM giving off coolness under the scorching sun, ‘Blue Wave,’ which is a medium pop song in a cool atmosphere reminiscent of the blue sea, and ‘Starry Night,’ which romantically depicts how a couple circles the same place, not wanting to say bye to each other on a starry night.
Other songs that depict various emotions also capture the ears of music fans, such as ‘Poison,’ which describes the ironic feeling of love where you know your lover easily breaks and paralyzes you, but you still cannot get over with the lover, ‘SOS,’ which is a hip-hop dance song that frankly captures the feeling that wants to hold on to the bygone love and to be connected due to the thirst for love, and ‘Pretzel (♡),’ which lovably expressed the feeling toward the lover by comparing it to pretzel that is reminiscent of the heart emoticon (♡).
This album also includes ‘Like We Just Met,’ written by seven members, and honestly writes about our relationship where we fall in love from time to time as if we just met even after spending so many days together. All ten songs will present more mature music of NCT DREAM.Tracklist[]
